Choosing a POV (point of view) depends upon your plot, narrative, type of story, the resolution, and pacing. Do you want high reader intimacy, balanced or broad narrative? Does the story rely on the main character’s biased perspective, or does the reader need to know information the main character doesn’t? Based on the answers you get you can choose 1st or 3rd person narration (or even 2nd!)
